09:56 Box 1-6-30 Cumberland Twp. 200 BLK Table Rock Rd.
Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Table Rock Rd. for an auto fire. Engine’s 1-1 & 1-2 responded. Units arrived with a mini van on fire, with fire extending into the passenger compartment. Sole occupant was out of the vehicle uninjured. Crews extinguished the fire without incident.

Brush, Rescue & Fire Police Assist on RT15 Tractor Trailer Fire (Box 23-1 Freedom Twp)

On Tuesday March 24th @ approximately 1523hrs, Brush1, Traffic1 & DC1 (McGonigal) responded to US Route 15 SB in the area of MM .8 to assist Co. 23 (Greenmount) & Mutual Aid Companies with a Tractor Trailer and Brush Fire. 21:49 Hrs. Tuesday February 18th, GFD & Mutual Aid companies were dispatched to the 800-Blk of Herrs Ridge Rd in Cumberland Twp for a house fire. Asst. 13:11 hrs. Truck 1 w/5 (Deputy Chief McGonigal), responded to the 200-Blk of Sachs Rd in Cumberland Twp, Box 22-2 (Barlow) for a chimney fire. Truck 1 first arriving reported light smoke showing from the chimney & being met by the homeowner who confirmed they had fire in the chimney. Mobile Home Fire in Straban Township Displaces Seven, No Injuries Reported

At approximately 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, Gettysburg Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the Castle Hill Mobile Home Park off Old Harrisburg Road in Straban Township, Pennsylvania.

Ice Rescue Training
Gettysburg Fire , January 25
Today the Gettysburg Fire Department along with Fairfield Fire & EMS took the opportunity to practice some ice rescue skills at the Adams County 911 Center on approximately 7” of ice. Members practiced moving along the ice safely, tethering, self-rescue, and victim rescue from the water along with shore-based rescue techniques. On 1/3/25 @1137 hrs. the pre-alert was sounded for a house fire in Box 1-6 @ 1936 Biglerville Road (Cumberland Twp.). Shortly after dispatch Deputy Chief 5 (Gilbert) radioed Communications of a large black column of smoke in the area of the dispatched location and requested the WFD.
